 Smmix.com is my most active project with over 250 members and 30+ Music and graphics artists. Stepmania (aka SM) is an open source PC based free dance and rhythm game for Windows, Mac, and Linux featuring 3D graphics, dance pad support, and a step editor. The start of Stepmania was to simulate Konami's Dance Dance Revolution game on a PC. SMMix was thought up on a SM
forum over a year ago by a member with the screen name "Something". His thought was to have a totally free downloadable mix for Stepmania. For five months the thought was thrown around by many members and it was a slow process due to being only worked on through a single post. From there I picked up the project and became partners with the two founding members for the project and created the web site. When the web site started we had only six songs in our mix; to date we now have 80+ songs being further developed and created.

We are a group of dedicated Stepmania players looking for a legal SM Mix. As most of the SM players out there know the good majority of music and step files are copyrighted and are not legal to download. The only way to get these DDR or ITG songs legally would be to buy them in stores. So we (and when I say we I mean "Something") came up with an idea. A FREE and totally legal SM Mix,created by the community with original music and step files. Our hopes are to get 50+ songs in this mix, and a SM theme that you have never seen before.
 All of the web work was created by me as well as most of the graphics. Some graphics were created by other members of the smmix team.
Below I have images of the web site from the newest version all the way to the earliest version of the web design and design concepts for the theme. Also, I have provided links to pages for better interaction.
